Cave City is a tourist trap town through and through but it has several attractions to please just about anyone. Mammoth cave national park is the perfect start to a vacation which includes several tours into the largest known cave system on the continent . It has tours varying from an easy jaunt to just inside the caves vast interior to an all day spelunking adventure. A delightful restaurant on the parkÆs grounds means that your trip will not be cut short for lunch. For the shopper in you, Big MikeÆs Rock Shop a few miles outside of the parks entrance has several souvenirs for sale as well as rocks and fossils. Many, many, tourist shops line the highway leading back to the interstate. Jelly Stone camp ground is a wonderful place to stay for adults and children alike. There are lots to rent if you which to pitch a tent or park a camper. Cabins are also available with AC and private bathrooms for those who donÆt like roughing it. The many activities the camp ground provides throughout the day and night will keep all the kids happy and the adults free to fish, swim at the pool, or simply poke at the fire pit. Hot dogs cooked on a stick followed by smores on a campfire work well for dinner and entertains everyone at the same time. |
